We took a flight down to Melbourne early Friday morning so Uwe could work from the office there while Sebastian and I went shopping for the day. We went to our hotel in the evening and met up with Vivien and went to have dinner at the German Hofbrauhaus. There was plenty of food, drinks and German music.
Saturday morning, we got ready to go to the big game. We were all very excited. Aunty Vivien got lots of cuddles from Sebastian. We were all wearing the red and white colours and away we went to the game.
The Melbourne weather was unpredictable, as usual. The forecast was for cold and rainy weather. On our way there it started to rain. Then when we got inside the ground, the sun came out and became warm. Then the rain was back and very cloudy and cold. It was four seasons in one day.
It was a fantastic game, one of the best games ever. It could have gone either way. But the Swans pulled it off and won the game by 10 points. It was a nail biter and after the final siren went, we all couldn't stop jumping up and down cheering.
Sebastian was well behaved the whole game. He never cried and wasn't scared of the cheering or booing from the other people around us. He slept through the first half but then was ready to cheer them on in the last half. But, by the end of the day he was tired and wanted to go home. He is their lucky charm - the Swans have never lost a game that Sebastian has been too!
