New Years Eve

Uwe took Helga, Bernd and Jenny to the sailing club in Rushcutters Bay to see the fireworks for New Years Eve.  They really needed to get as close as possible to the Harbour Bridge to see how fantastic the fireworks in Sydney really are.

And this was my view of the fireworks from our lounge room!

In the backyard

Sebastian loves riding his bike, but hasn't quite got the hang of the pedals yet.  He also loves his sandpit especially when we fill one side with water so he can wet daddy.

Uwe's birthday

The day started with cake, presents and some singing to daddy to wish him a Happy Birthday.  Then we headed to Watsons Bay to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart.

Facetime with Oma & Opa

Every weekend we do FaceTime with Uwe's parents in Germany so they can see the kids and speak to Uwe.  Since it was Christmas we thought we would speak to them and wish them a Merry Christmas.  Sebastian loves speaking to them and showing them all the new things he has learnt since last time he saw them.  It's wonderful that we can see them from the other side of the world.

Christmas lunch

We had Christmas lunch at my parents house, there was lots of food and the kids opened lots of presents.

Christmas morning

It wasn't long before we were outside having fun blowing lots of bubbles!!

Santa has been!

Christmas morning started early (like every other morning) and seeing Sebastian's face light up when he saw the big present left from Santa was priceless. He started opening it immediately and was thrilled that Santa bought him a bike. It's a bit big for him but it didn't take him long to get on it and learn how to steer and use his feet to push him around on it.  Once Hannah was awake Sebastian helped her open her presents too, a doll and a spinning toy.

Christmas Eve dinner

We started cooking dinner a bit earlier as we had 3 courses to get through for dinner.  First was scallops, then BBQ prawns and then fish.  Sebastian was a great help with the cooking and also taking photos. We had Bon bons to crack open and corny jokes to read out.  It was a fun night.
