Christmas Carols

There were Christmas carols in Rushcutters Bay and we met some friends there for a picnic while the concert was on.  Sebastian got a blow up guitar and absolutely loved playing with it.  We waited until the end to watch the fireworks and both kids loved it. 

 

Zoo

We took Carolin to the zoo with us and had lots of fun exploring and see all the animals.  We even took the gondola ride back up to the top of the zoo. 

They love the trampoline

The first thing they do at playgroup is head straight to the trampoline.  They just love it and its so much fun to watch them jump and play together. 

Double decker bus

We see the red double decker bus all the time around Bondi and the city.  It is a tourist bus that drives around Sydney that has the roof off the top level of the bus.  Sebastian has been asking for months to go on the bus so we finally decided it was time for us to have a ride.  We got prime seats, up the top at the very front.  It was a great trip around the city, Sebastian and Hannah had a lot of fun. Towards the end, it was very hot and sunny and Hannah fell asleep.

Sydney fish markets

We had some friends coming over for a BBQ and we decided to have a seafood theme.  In the morning, we headed down to the fish markets to buy the fresh seafood.  They cut our swordfish while we were watching and I loved looking at all the different types of seafood they had there.  The dinner was very yummy!

Meeting Santa

Sebastian was so excited to be going into the city to meet Santa.  We took the bus into the city and walked to the QVB to meet him.  We were a little bit early and were first in the queue.  We saw Santa walking towards us and Sebastian was excited, but poor Hannah started crying.  She didn't want to go anywhere near Santa and she certainly wasn't sitting on his knee.  He actually had to leave the area for a minute to calm Hannah down and he snuck back in without her seeing.  We then managed to distract her (with chocolate) to get her to smile.  The whole time Sebastian loved it but didn't smile for a photo.  I love the photo we got with Santa.

Bike park

Sebastian wanted to ride his bike, so we took the kids up to the bike park and let them ride around for a while. It was a lot of fun. 

Feeding the ducks

We went to Centennial Park to feed the ducks.  As soon as we sat on the seat, we were surrounded by lots of ducks, swans, pelicans and birds. At one stage they were trying to eat the bread from our hands and poor Hannah got a bit scared.
