New Years Eve

The kids had their first sleepover at Grandma and Grandpas house for New Years Eve.  Our plan was to go somewhere in the city to watch the fireworks, but all we wanted to do was have a quiet one instead.  We ended up going down to Bondi Beach for an early dinner and then came home and watched a movie, saw the fireworks on TV and then went to bed. 

At home

We were doing facetime with Uwe's family, the kids love talking and seeing their loved ones in Germany.  Hannah loves to jump now and she climbs onto the back of the sofa and jumps down! 

Pub night

Most Tuesday nights we head to the Beach Road Hotel for dinner.  Its schnitzel night for us and the kids have fish and chips.  Sebastian will eat the fish and Hannah will eat the chips!!

Uwe's Birthday

For Uwe's birthday, I organised tickets on a sailing boat to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.  It was great to be back on a sailing boat, it has been a while.  It was a glorious day with quite a bit of wind. We were motoring near the first start line and it was fantastic to watch the boats line up for the start.  It felt like we were in the race too, we were that close.  Once they were over the start, they were flying down the harbour.It was also amazing to see all the spectator boats out there too.

After the race Uwe and I went for a late lunch/early dinner at Unas before heading home with a gelato birthday cake for Uwe.  Hope you enjoyed your day Uwe.
