Last day of Summer

What a gorgeous day to spend at the beach, the last official day of summer.  The kids had so much fun.

Uwe came home a bit earlier than normal so we went up to the RSL for dinner.  This was waiting for us when we left.

It was a beautiful day to head to the beach for a swim and some fun playing in the sand.

Markets

Sebastian wanted to go the markets today to show Daddy the jumping castle and pony ride we normally go to.  After a bit of a search I found some open today and went to have a look.  The kids got their face painted, went on the jumping castle twice and Sebastian had a pony ride.  It was a lot of fun.

Back to the zoo

We had a fun morning at the zoo today.  The giraffes were a favourite and so were the chimpanzees, especially the 2 baby chimps.  The elephants did another poop in front of us.  The lions were sleeping again and the tigers were awake and walking around.  The kids had a great time.

Guy Sebastian concert

Last night Uwe and I went to see Guy Sebastian in concert (I love Guy, he is such an awesome Australian singer).  We stopped for dinner and drinks at a pub before heading to the concert.  Guy was brilliant, one of the best concerts I've been to.  He sung all my favourite songs and he explained to the audience how he came to write them.  It was such a great night!

First day of pre school

Sebastian had his first day of pre school.  He has been so excited about going and couldn't wait to get there.  As soon as we entered the gate he was in the sand pit playing with all the diggers.  I stayed for a little bit and then told him I was going and would be back later to pick him up.  He waved bye and continued playing.  I picked him up later in the afternoon and he told me all the fantastic things he did all day long.  He absolutely loved it. There were a couple of tears from mum after I dropped him off!

Birthday celebrations

Uwe was in the USA for work on my birthday, so we celebrated when he got home.  We had a nice dinner out and the kids loved eating the chocolate cake when we got home!

Swimming lessons

Hannah loves her swimming lessons.  She goes under the water without crying, she almost climbs out without any help and loves all the songs we sing.  Sebastian also loves the water but not the swimming lesson with the instructor.  He won't go anywhere near the instructor and will cry if we force him to.  He loves to just do his own thing.  He swims with the noodle without any help but hates to go underwater.  Uwe tries to watch what the instructor does with the other children and copies what she does.

Feeding the birds and ducks

The kids love going to Centennial Park to feed the birds and ducks.  This time I took a whole loaf of bread with us and it still was gone in a few minutes!
