Road Trips in Germany

We spent most of our time with family and friends in Neubrunn but we did venture out every now and then to visit some places nearby.

We visited Wuerzburg a few times. They had an Africa festival on where Sebastian played with a lot of drums. We also went there with a friend and his children to play in the playground.  We then enjoyed having dinner in the nearby beer garden which also had a playground in it.

We wanted to visit the castle in Wertheim, but we couldn't find the entrance and then ran out of time.  Uwe did enjoy a beer while we were there.
Rothenburg is one of my favourite places to visit when we come to Germany. They have a wall surrounding the city which you can walk on and get great views of the city.  They also have a Christmas shop open every day of the year.

I've never visited Frankfurt (except seeing the airport) so we took a trip up there.  We mostly visited the shops but we did see Roemer which is the main square of Frankfurt.  While we were having lunch there, Sebastian was fascinated with the mimes standing in the square.  He had to go over and put money in their hats and have his photo taken.  Luckily there weren't too many of them.

Germany - Neubrunn

What an amazing 3 weeks we had in Germany. Almost every day Sebastian would go down to the garden with Opa and help pick the fruit and vegetables. While there he also got to see the donkeys and sometimes horses.  He loved going in to feed the chickens and collect their eggs. The kids would play in the sandpit and Sebastian loved his big ride on digger.  He loved kicking the soccer ball with everyone. He was thrilled to have a ride on a real tractor and to sit on a real digger.  Hannah was very clingy to me but she loved being outside in the garden and exploring too.
