Christmas Eve

A Christmas tradition in Germany is to open the presents on Christmas Eve.  The kids love this idea!!  Seeing as we gave them the cubby house for Christmas they only opened a couple of small presents tonight (pjs). The kids bought each other a present, Sebastian bought Hannah a Peppa Pig caravan and Hannah bought Sebastian a toolbox.  We then got Santa's milk and cookies ready and the carrots for the reindeer's were left out.  A quick Pfeffernuesse before bed and it was straight to sleep so Santa could come. 

The cubby house

Uwe and I bought the kids a cubby house for Christmas.  The kids were over the moon with the thought of getting a cubby house to play in.  We started off with giving part of the cubby house a lacquer and the kids loved helping to paint it.  My dad came over to help set it up with us, unfortunately it rained all day.  We all wore our rain coats and got to work.  Sebastian was Grandpa's best helper and spent quite a while helping him dig holes.  Hannah loved jumping in the rain, enjoyed a babycino then decided to help out too.  The end result is a fantastic place for the kids to play and build their imagination.

Seeing the Christmas lights

One evening we got in the car and drove around the streets of Bondi looking for all the houses with Christmas lights.  One street in Bondi was amazing.  Lots of houses decked out with lights and Christmas decorations.

Ready for Christmas

So excited for Christmas to come.

Climbing trees

They love climbing the trees.  Every time we go to the playground, they manage to make their way to the trees to climb.

Woody

Hannah dressed up as Woody.  This is her most favourite dress up.  She is always wanting to dress up as Woody.

Preschool

Last day of preschool for the year and the kids had a wonderful pool party to celebrate a great year.  Sebastian has made some amazing friends there and has grown in confidence.  We both have made wonderful friends this year and looking forward to what next year brings.

Watching the Sailing

We headed down to the Botanical Gardens to watch the sailing on the harbour.  It was great to watch these amazing boats racing around the harbour.  The kids got bored so they played in the garden for a while. 

His own zoo

Sebastian got all his animals out and wanted to make his own little zoo inside his train track.  He enjoyed moving the train around the tracks looking at all the animals.

Zoo

Lots of fun at the zoo today.  They were excited to get lots of photos to send to daddy while he was at work.
