Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Uwe!! This morning after opening his presents from Sebastian and I, we headed out to South Head to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. While we were walking from the car, Seb fell asleep in the Baby Bjorn carrier and slept for a while before he woke up and played for a bit under the sun shelter. It was a really nice day to have a picnic in the park with some friends and watch all the boats on the harbour on Uwes birthday.

Christmas Day 2011

Merry Christmas!! This was our first Christmas as a married couple and with Sebastian. The day started early with us heading down to Bondi Beach. Uwe went for a quick swim in the water while Seb and I waiting on the beach for him. Then we headed out to my sisters place for Christmas lunch with my family.

Seb was very spoilt by everyone and got lots of clothes and toys. He also got lots of kisses and cuddles from everyone.

Adventures of Sebastian

Everyday our little boy gets bigger and continues to take in all his new surroundings. Everywhere we go he loves to look around at everything. We love seeing him smile and we certainly get lots of them every day. He is getting more vocal, not with the screaming, but it seems he is really trying to talk to us.

My mothers group organised a baby massage class a few weeks ago and we all had so much fun. All the babies loved to get their legs, arms, bellies and heads massaged.

He loves laying on his beautiful quilt that one of our friends mum made for Sebastian, except when he is on his tummy, he doesn't like tummy time and always cries when we put him on his tummy. He has even rolled over onto his back because he hates it so much!

Last week my mothers group organised a Christmas party, below are all the babies with their Christmas nappies on, how cute! Sebastian had his first trip on a boat, it was a luxury yacht owned by one of the other mothers and we even got to watch the big boat race on the harbour.

Those big blue eyes

Not much sleep happening lately, those big eyes are wide awake alot!! Seb is now talking to himself alot in bed instead of sleeping. And we are getting lots of smiles from him. We go to check on him to see if he is sleeping and all we see is his big blue eyes and the biggest smile, cheeky monkey!!

First family picnic

Saturday afternoon when Uwe came home from sailing, he suggested we go on a picnic, the first time together just the 3 of us. We drove over the Harbour Bridge to Kirribilli and bought some fish and chips and set up our spot with the best view in town. Seb happily slept in his capsule the whole time while mummy and daddy got to eat their dinner without being interrupted.

Sebastian - One month old

Its been one month since Sebastian was born. Time has really flown by. We have learnt alot in that one month and I'm sure we will be learning alot more everyday for a long time to come. We have started to venture out of the house more, mostly just walking with him in the pram to the park and we have been to our favourite restaurants a few times for dinner too. He loves laying in daddys arms while he sings to him and he has just started to enjoy laying on his play mat and doing tummy time.

Welcome Sebastian Schlagmueller

We welcomed our bundle of joy Sebastian Schlagmueller on Friday, 23rd September 2011 at 11.30pm. He weighed 3.75 kgs and measured 51 cms. Here are a some photos from his first few days.
