Dubbo

We left early in the morning for the long drive to Dubbo.  We got stuck in peak hour traffic getting out of Sydney and there were delays between the Blue Mountains and Bathurst because of road works, so it took a little longer than we thought. It was very warm when we arrived in Dubbo, so the first thing we did was jump in the pool to cool off.
Saturday morning, we headed to the zoo. This zoo is a bit like being on a safari, you can drive around the zoo which was what we did or you can ride a bike, walk or use an electric cart.  There were lots of animals to see, the rhinos, elephants, tigers, zebras, tortoises and the highlight was to feed the giraffes. Both kids loved feeding the giraffes and weren't scared at all.  We all had an amazing time seeing the animals.
Before heading back to Sydney on Sunday, we went back to the zoo for a few hours to see some more animals.  It was a wonderful trip to Dubbo and we will definitely be coming back again.
