Australia Day
We went to the Botanical Gardens for Australia Day to see all the boats racing on the harbour. It was lovely to sit there in the gardens and just soak up the atmosphere and celebrate what a great country we live in.

Uwe in Japan
I was in Japan skiing with friends celebrating JJ's 40th birthday. Niseko is the powder capital of the world without doubt, snow meters high and wonderful powder conditions. Niseko village is more or less run by Australians. Most times you share a lift with a stranger you just talk about the suburb in Melbourne or Sydney you are from. Japanese food is just sensational and there are a lot of restaurant and bars we went to. One of them even had a fridge door as an entry. It was great to catch up with friends, tasting Japanese whiskey (which is pretty good) but I missed my family a lot. Next time skiing I'll take them along.

Watercolour paints
Painting, colouring and drawing are some of the kids most favourite things to do at home. They just love it.

Sleepover
While Uwe was in Japan, the kids had a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpas for a couple of days. They had fun at the playground and went to Featherdale Wildlife Park and fed the kangaroos and patted the koalas and even a snake. While they had fun, Mummy spent time at the beach, went to the movies and had a lovely massage and facial.

At home
Enjoying some time at home. Playing blocks or with the train tracks. Doing puzzles or playing games. Playing in the backyard, climbing trees, having picnics. Enjoying watching the kids grow more independent and they are the best of friends.
