I was in Japan skiing with friends celebrating JJ's 40th birthday. Niseko is the powder capital of the world without doubt, snow meters high and wonderful powder conditions. Niseko village is more or less run by Australians. Most times you share a lift with a stranger you just talk about the suburb in Melbourne or Sydney you are from. Japanese food is just sensational and there are a lot of restaurant and bars we went to. One of them even had a fridge door as an entry. It was great to catch up with friends, tasting Japanese whiskey (which is pretty good) but I missed my family a lot. Next time skiing I'll take them along.
