Bonjour Paris

I visited Paris over 10 years ago and I fell in love with the city.  I looked forward to coming here again, this time with Uwe and the kids and showing them all the things that I loved about Paris.  We took the train from Wuerzburg to Frankfurt and then Frankfurt to Paris.  The train through France was very fast, reaching 319km per hour.  Once we arrived in Paris, we headed to our apartment and then out for dinner.  It wasn't so easy to find somewhere to eat, we couldn't speak French and we couldn't understand the menu. We ended up buying a few things at the supermarket to cook in the apartment and some take away doner kebabs and chips.

After a good nights sleep, we headed to Disneyland.  The kids were so excited they couldn't wait to see it all.  The first thing they wanted to see was the fairy tale castle, just like in the movies.  They were amazed by it and wanted to do inside and climb to the top.  We went on several rides, ate lots of junk food, met Mickey Mouse and walked around all day.  The kids loved the parade at the end of the day, seeing all their favourite characters come to life.  By the end of it all, they were so exhausted. They certainly slept well that night. 

The next day we walked around Paris, first stopping to see the Eifel Tower.  The kids were so amazed by the tower and couldn't wait to get to the top.  They loved seeing the city from such a high viewpoint.  The kids loved the carousels we found all over Paris, each one we saw they wanted to go on for a ride.  We saw the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees.

We stopped in at the same patisserie every morning to grab our breakfast and Uwe picked up a coffee before we started each day.  We loved to just walk the streets and see all the beautiful buildings and scenes around us.  We visited Notre Dame and was amazed they had a kids sand pit right next to it.  We left not long after this but on our way out, Sebastian said we would be back very soon at Christmas time.  Au revoir Paris, see you again soon.
